Their first show is just two weeks later and they sound great, they just need a drummer, Seiko has been begging her cousin Erin, but he will only go if a guy he likes shows up, to which Seiko repeats "its impossible but the idiot doesn't see reason." Finally desperate Seiko invites him to hang out for one rehearsal promising that the guy will be there but of course he doesn't show up just Saga and Shou, whom upon meeting Chara falls instantly in love with, but being a suave playboy , Shou is just playing his cards with her like he does with the other girls. being a charmer, Seiko and Tomo warn Chara that Shou isn't boyfriend material. "i'm not asking for pity from anyone, but...I just don't think I can handle rejection anymore, there's no one on this planet who would want me, and I'm starting to understand that now, because I'm no good." as she unfolds her troubles to her, he kisses her. "I've been wanting to do that since we met. And it had nothing to do with what you did, or why you're here, you're here now, and you are amazing." She doesn't believe it. "I thought you didn't want girls, like... you don't..kiss anyone." he laughs and asks if that was Seiko. she nods. "Yeah, I'm like that, but I started to feel life could be something more with you, I want that, will you let me be someone in your life, more than a friend?" She tells him ok, to take it slow, please. Their relationship evolves, for a long time they don't kiss again, Chara slowly recounts the abuse she suffered with ever stage they pass, and those memories are erased by Haruka's love.
They have a good year in Los Angeles before that day, battle of the bands at the House of Blues. Glorious Jane win, they get spotted by an idies band company and offered a deal in Japan, but they have to leave now. Chara agrees, and tells Haruka to leave, they recall a story in Anne Rice, how Pandora and Marius met again, by coincidence and chance, but that they loved eachother through out. "I will come for you if you don't come for me first." he pormises but she sings to him a parting song.
